Catania Spagna Olive OilCatania-Spagna's roots go back to Guiseppe Basile in the tiny village of San Pier Niceto, Sicily. He emigrated to America in 1900 with a few barrels of olive oil and the vision of starting a family business.

The early years were difficult. Operating out of a small office in Boston's North End, the young immigrant built his business the hard way. Even as a one-man operation, he earned a reputation for quality products and personal service. And he expanded into new markets and products.

Now, under the leadership of Anthony and Robert Basile, Catania-Spagna has grown into an industry leader serving many distinct markets: Retail, Food Service, Bulk, Organic, Specialty, Private Label and Export. By continuing the family tradition of uncompromising quality, we have earned the loyalty of trade customers and consumers alike.

We are proud of our reputation of over 100 years of quality, service and reliability. As we begin the new millennium, the fourth generation is learning the business. The Basile family is dedicated to continuing the tradition for many more generations.
